Oda Systems - Senior Logistics Engineer
Oda is hiring a Senior Logistics Engineer to help design and optimize the physical logistics systems behind its highly automated online grocery operations.
The position is based in Oslo, Norway or Larsboda, Sweden, with a hybrid work arrangement. Oda is looking for an engineer who can take ownership of physical process flows, warehouse layouts and installation projects from initial concept through commissioning.
The role includes:
Designing and improving physical process flows and layout solutions
Leading equipment, hardware and infrastructure installation projects
Optimizing throughput, operational efficiency and unit economics
Applying Lean principles to reduce waste and improve safety
Working closely with operations, software developers, designers, data analysts and product managers
Supporting the scaling of logistics and fulfillment-center infrastructure
Oda is looking for candidates with an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field, along with approximately 5–10 years of experience in Lean manufacturing, industrial production or logistics environments. Experience managing complex physical installation projects from concept through completion is also required.
One particularly interesting aspect of the position is Oda's move beyond operating its own grocery fulfillment network. The company is now commercializing its logistics technology through Oda Systems, including its hardware blueprint, proprietary software and operating methods for other online grocery companies.
