Walmart is recruiting a Director of Automation Engineering – Autonomous Transportation in Bentonville, Arkansas.
This is an especially interesting senior-level opportunity because the role is responsible for defining and leading Walmart’s autonomous transportation strategy across one of North America’s largest private fleets.
The position goes well beyond engineering. It includes evaluating emerging autonomous technologies, developing business cases, selecting technology partners, structuring commercial agreements, leading pilots, and scaling successful solutions across Walmart’s supply chain.
Walmart is looking for someone with deep experience in autonomous vehicles, transportation technology, robotics or related systems, combined with the ability to take emerging technologies from concept through enterprise-scale deployment.
Annual salary is listed at US$130,000–$260,000, plus performance bonuses and potential stock compensation.
