Amazon is recruiting a Senior Technical Program Manager for its Worldwide Design & Engineering (WWDE) Advanced Concept Team in Bellevue, Washington.
This is an especially interesting opportunity for experienced warehouse automation and systems-engineering professionals because the role sits considerably earlier in the project lifecycle than a conventional implementation position.
Amazon’s Advanced Concept Team develops next-generation fulfillment center concepts before they enter formal engineering and construction. The work includes evaluating automation technologies, system architecture, process flow, building systems and engineering feasibility, while developing the business cases and technical requirements that can ultimately shape Amazon’s future fulfillment network.
The successful candidate will lead complex cross-functional programs involving multiple engineering and technology teams, manage technical and program risks, participate in architectural and design reviews, and help move new concepts from early-stage ideas toward scalable implementation.
Amazon is seeking candidates with at least six years of technical product or program management experience and significant experience working directly with engineering teams. Experience with automation deployments, system design, facility launches and retrofits is specifically identified as valuable.
Location: Bellevue, Washington
Base Salary: US$148,700–$201,200 annually, plus potential sign-on payments, RSUs and benefits.
