At the Automatica 2025 exhibition in Germany, NEURA Robotics introduced its third-generation humanoid robot, the 4NE1 Gen-3, marking a significant step in Europe's evolving robotics industry.
Automatica 2025 in Munich drew a record 47,500 visitors from over 90 countries, underscoring the accelerating convergence of AI and robotics. Humanoid robots emerged as a focal point, with NEURA Robotics unveiling its 3rd-generation 4NE1 platform alongside the MiPA service bot, and DLR showcasing its advanced TORO humanoid capable of navigating stairs, obstacles, and performing complex balance tasks. DLR also demonstrated its HUG haptic interface, enabling intuitive teleoperation of humanoids like Justin with tactile feedback. Across the show floor, humanoids displayed smoother motion, refined designs, and more practical applications—signaling their evolution from research prototypes toward real-world deployment.
